| Description |
Grass and concrete with
a very cheap cafe 'Pine Cafe' that is worth visiting for it's breakfasts
and cheap Sunday lunches.
Set in the infamous 'Cannock Chase'
are this site is good for learning upwind techniques and it's natural oval
surround (nicknamed the 'wall of death')
It is an excellent site in the snow
and the terrain is a little rough for beginners
|
| Restrictions |
When wet this site is unusable
on the grassy oval due to water logging and the sometimes longish grass
creating too much drag.
A concrete area at the back of this
site is probably better when wet.
It is also one of the sites used by
the Midland Kite fliers so please be aware of other users who may not want
to share in your activities. If it is on an MKF flying day it may be
best to use the concrete area or turn up for a social non-extreme day.

| Description |
Probably one of the
largest beaches in Britain. Not only is long but at many times you
are unable to see the sea. There can be lots of variation in the
surface of the beach but on the whole it is an excellent site to buggy
on. Sometimes the surface in some areas is undulating proving to be
quite interesting at speed, water pools and the odd sand jump provide
other added attractions.
Toilets and various cafe's are
close by with accommodation being both plentiful and reasonably priced. |
| Restrictions |
This area is also a Land
Yacht Site and is very often used by the local club for both races and
also social meets. Do not impede or stray into the are that they are
using as to prevent any problems.
There is also an airport which is
just a spit away from the beach so please keep to the pier side of the
area. For more details on this site please contact the North West
Kite Club who will advise and may be able to offer an associate membership
which will provide you with access to a clubhouse/showers etc.
